Deuteronomy 32:28-30

²⁸ “^(A)For they are a nation where counsel perishes,
And there is no discernment in them.
^29 (B)Would that they were wise, that they had insight into this,
^(C)That they would understand their ^[a]future!
^30 (D)How could one pursue one thousand,
And two put ten thousand to flight,
Unless their ^(E)Rock had sold them,
And Yahweh had handed them over?
